As a response to the request from European countries, Iran has agreed to hold a new round of talks, says Esmail Baghai, spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, on state television on Monday.
Baghai also states that the Iranian regime is inviting Russia and China for a "three-party talk" on the same issue in Tehran on Tuesday. During a press conference, he says that the three countries will discuss the Iranian nuclear energy program and European sanctions.
The talks will be held in Istanbul, Turkey.
Recently, reports emerged that the three European countries and the USA have threatened Iran with sanctions if the country does not agree to new nuclear energy talks.
The latest talks between the USA and Iran broke down after the twelve-day war between Israel and Iran in June. The war ended a few days after the USA's bombing of important Iranian nuclear energy facilities.
