Media companies' advertising revenue fell in October compared to the corresponding month last year, according to monthly figures from the Swedish Media Agencies.

The decline in investment in television advertising fell 13 percent year-on-year to a historic low.

"This represents the lowest level ever for television in October, and it appears unlikely that television companies can compensate for the loss through advertising revenue on their digital platforms," says Jochum Forsell, senior partner, Hear Media Agency, according to a press release.

In total, media investments decreased in October to SEK 1.4 billion, a decrease of 1 percent compared to October last year.
