The ten-month-old child died in March this year in Dalarna. The parents were arrested and held in custody for three days. Despite a forensic investigation, no cause of death has been determined.
"There was a history surrounding the family, which led to suspicions that one or both parents could have caused the child's death," says prosecutor Karolina Lassbo in a press release.
"However, there is now nothing in the forensic investigation that suggests that the parents caused the child's death, which means that the parents should be considered innocent," she continues.
