An ambulance paramedic was stabbed to death after being called to an address. Despite previous reports of a violent situation at the address, the responding personnel were not informed.
The Ministry of Social Affairs now wants to analyze and strengthen the possibilities for better information sharing between ambulance services and other healthcare services, emergency centers, police and rescue services.
"Ambulance personnel should be able to perform their work safely and securely. To achieve this, access to relevant information is required before emergency services are called out. This investigation should give us a clear picture of what is possible today, as well as what can be improved," says Minister of Health Elisabet Lann (KD) in a press release.
Stefan Jansson has been appointed as special investigator.
