During the summer and autumn, the invasive flatworm has been found for the first time in Swedish-produced plants. However, these are few findings and the reason seems to be that they have been near imported plants.

It has been a year since the first discovery of the invasive species was made in Skåne. The spread has been very limited since then, writes the Skåne County Administrative Board in a press release .

"There is reason for concern, but the fight is by no means lost. So far, the spread is very limited and since the long-term consequences are significant, total eradication must be the goal," says nature conservation officer Cajza Eriksson in the press release.

Findings have been reported from all over the country. Initially, the leafworms were found in or directly under pots with imported plants. During the autumn, findings at nurseries have also been made under textile beds on which the plants stand.
