Intrum Reports Increased Profit, Expects Capital Boost by July

The credit management company Intrum – which is in a recapitalization process – reports an adjusted operating profit of 1,098 million kronor for the first quarter of the year. This can be compared to the profit of 864 million kronor during the corresponding quarter last year.

Revenues decreased to 4.3 billion, down from 4.4 billion a year earlier.

"With strong support from the company's stakeholders, the recapitalization is nearing its end after the courts have approved the Chapter 11 plan in the USA and the Swedish company reorganization", writes Intrum in the report.

"The recapitalization transaction is expected to be completed in early July, with an exchange of existing bonds and the issuance of new shares", the company adds.
