It was on Tuesday morning, just before 8:00 am, that the regional broadband network was affected by extensive disruptions for unclear reasons, which Norran was the first to report on.
According to AC Net, ten out of fifteen municipalities were affected. Region Västerbotten also faced major problems, which led to the region going into emergency mode. Coop stores in the north also had problems with card payments.
It was a very extensive operational disruption, but the problem is now resolved. We have received feedback from all affected parties, says AC Net's CEO David Lindgren to TT.
Lindgren does not want to speculate about a potential cyberattack.
We have found the fault, but do not know what caused it and that is what we will investigate now, he says.
