An international operation has been directed against some of the world's most dangerous malicious software, announces Europol and the EU's judicial cooperation Eurojust.

20 arrest warrants have been issued, over 300 servers and 650 domains have been taken down and cryptocurrency worth approximately 3.5 million euro has been seized in the coordinated effort.

The software is used by cybercriminals to gain access to the victims' systems and upload malicious software onto their devices.

Authorities in Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, United Kingdom and the USA have participated in the raid, which is a continuation of Europol's operation.
