Foreign flights are increasing in Sweden, shows the state-owned Swedavia's air traffic statistics, which report the number of passengers who have flown to and from the Swedish airports.

Compared to September 2024, foreign travel has increased by three percent in September this year. Domestic flights remain at roughly the same levels as last year.

In total, just over three million passengers traveled via Swedavia's ten airports in September, which is an increase of just over two percent compared to the same period last year. But compared to before the pandemic, it is a decrease of 16 percent.

Sweden's largest airport, Arlanda, had an increase in passengers of seven percent in September - including both international and domestic flights - compared to the corresponding period last year.
