The man, who was in his 30s, was found lifeless when the door was unlocked. Medical personnel were later able to determine that he was deceased.
According to the prison press department, the man was alone in the cell. It is not yet possible to say anything about the cause of death.
The Prison and Probation Service has filed a police report.
