An injury prevents Novak Djokovic from playing in next week's ATP tour final in Turin, he announces via Instagram.
The 37-year-old tennis star from Serbia has won the final seven times and is the defending champion after defeating current world number one Jannik Sinner, Italy, in last year's final.
Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev and Taylor Fritz had already secured a spot among the eight who get to play in Turin. Djokovic is sixth on the season ranking, so there was a small risk that he would have missed the final even if the injury hadn't stopped him.
