Jakob Ingebrigtsen got his revenge on 1,500 meters on Thursday evening, after surprisingly missing a medal on the distance during the Olympic Games in Paris.
At the Diamond League competition in Lausanne, the Norwegian crushed the opposition when he won with a margin of over two seconds down to the second-placed, Olympic gold medalist Cole Hocker, USA.
It's been almost two weeks since Paris, so there's been plenty of time for recovery. For me, a lot has been mental, getting to go home, having some quiet days and then returning to training, says the Norwegian after the victory according to AFP.
Ingebrigtsen finished fourth in the Olympic Games race on 1,500 meters – but he later got his Olympic gold when he won on 5,000 meters.
