Training and TV profile My Martens was subjected to stalking for nearly a decade. In the documentary series "What has My Martens done that's so terrible, really?" viewers get to follow the influencer's struggle against the unknown perpetrators.
"It started with online comments, but in the summer of 2016, it escalated. When the handwritten letters started coming – letter after letter – I realized it wasn't just about a nutcase. There was a pattern, and more and more strange things started happening", says Martens in a press release.
The documentary also reveals who is behind the harassment.
"The documentary shows how sick it is that you can slander and harass someone both digitally and physically, without consequences. The police don't prioritize this, which feels risky when the problem is only growing", says Martens.
"What has My Martens done that's so terrible, really?" premieres on TV4 Play on May 5.
