Inflation continues to rise in our neighboring countries Denmark and Norway, show fresh figures this morning from Statistics Norway and Statistics Denmark.
In Denmark, inflation rose to an annual rate of 1.9 percent from previous inflation of 1.6 percent.
In Norway, core inflation rose to 3.1 percent from previous 2.8 percent. It is clearly above the two percent target but in line with the Norwegian central bank's forecast for June. It is the first time in four months that Norwegian inflation rises.
