Inflation in the Netherlands jumps to 3.5 percent in May

Consumer prices rose 3.5 percent year-on-year, compared with 2.8 percent in April. Analysts had expected an increase of 3.0 percent, according to Bloomberg.

According to the EU-harmonized measure, inflation rose to 3.4 percent, up from 2.5 percent in April. Expectations were 3.1 percent.
