Among the dead are two infants, according to the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
The boat capsized off Zuwara, west of Tripoli, on Friday evening. Only two survivors, both women from Nigeria, were rescued from the sea.
One of them said she had lost her husband, according to a statement from IOM. The other said she had lost her two children.
So far this year, at least 484 migrants have been reported dead or missing at sea in the central Mediterranean. The undercount is believed to be large - the IOM estimates that hundreds more deaths have gone under the radar.
