Infantino has already been seen in the stands ten times in seven days, reportedly using his private jet to travel among 16 cities in three countries.
According to Greenly, a French company specializing in carbon footprint calculations, one hour on the plane is equivalent to the annual emissions of an average person.
If Infantino visits two cities a day until the end of the round of 16 and watches the last eight matches, Greenly estimates he will generate between 300 and 500 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
That corresponds, according to them, to "the annual footprint of 35 to 55 French people".
