England's Jess Carter has received support after she told that she has been subjected to racist abuse on social media during the ongoing football European Championship in Switzerland.

First, the English Football Association announced that the matter had been reported to the police. Then Carter has received support from the President of the International Football Association, Gianni Infantino.

"It makes me very sad to see the hate speech directed at Jess Carter", Infantino writes on Instagram.

"We stand with Jess. We stand with every player and individual who has been subjected to racism. No player should be discriminated against in any way."
