Compared with February, the decline was 1.4 percent, according to seasonally adjusted figures. Compared with March 2025, the decline was even more pronounced, down 7.3 percent.
"The development in total order intake was positive in the domestic market while it was negative in the export market. Compared with February, the domestic market increased by 2.7 percent while the export market decreased by 3.5 percent, both in seasonally adjusted figures," writes Statistics Sweden.
The March figures from Statistics Sweden are the first from which one can begin to speculate on the effects of the bombing war that the US and Israel launched against Iran on February 28.
