Vattenfall's new company for new nuclear power at Ringhals is now taking the next step. The industrial partnership Industrikraft, with companies such as ABB and SSAB, signs a partnership agreement.

Industrikraft will invest SEK 400 million in the project and become a 20 percent partner in the nuclear power company Videberg Kraft AB, which was started by Vattenfall.

Right now we are not in the phase where we are going to finance the entire construction, but we are in the process of financing the steps we need to take to arrive at the final construction project, and that is a few years away.

When that time comes, it is clear that it will be a much larger amount than 400 million kronor from the industry, says Tom Erixon, chairman of Industrikraft and CEO of Alfa Laval at the press conference.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Vattenfall would start a separate nuclear power company that would bring in the industrial giants as partners. The government has also announced that the state intends to become a partner in the company.

Industrikraft's owners include major companies such as ABB, Alfa Laval, Boliden, Hitachi Energy, Höganäs AB, SSAB, Saab, Stora Enso and the Volvo Group.
