67 percent of Ukrainians claim to trust Zelenskyj, compared to 57 percent a month earlier, according to the opinion survey conducted by the Kyiv International Sociological Institute (KIIS).
The survey was conducted between February 14 and March 4. During that time, Trump without grounds claimed that Zelenskyj only had 4 percent support among the people, called Zelenskyj a "dictator", and then the two got into a verbal altercation at the White House.
In Ukraine's eastern parts, support for Zelenskyj was lower, around 60 percent, according to KIIS.
Just before Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, opinion polls showed that a clear majority lacked confidence in Zelenskyj, but support increased significantly after the war broke out.
