A replacement is already said to be ready. According to Danish Tipsbladet, Bo Svensson is on his way to become the new head coach.
Neestrup took over FC Copenhagen in 2022 and has since led the team to both league and cup titles.
This season, however, has been a major failure for the reigning champions.
FCK did not make it to the championship series and is now forced to fight for survival in the top division. In the relegation series, the team has also had a tough start with two straight losses.
The squad includes Swedish players Jordan Larsson and Viktor Claesson, who will, however, leave for IFK Värnamo this summer.
