This is after her organization announced her health had deteriorated significantly following a long period of neglect of her medical needs.
Mohammadi is reported to have suffered a heart attack at the end of March and to have fainted twice on Friday in a prison in Zanjan in northwestern Iran.
Mohammadi, 54, was arrested in December at a funeral, having already spent much of the past ten years in an Iranian prison.
She was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2023 for her fight for human rights.
