The fire started at 01:00 at night towards Saturday and the rescue service issued a VMA, an important message to the public. Residents in the town of Kilafors were warned about the heavy smoke development and were urged to close doors, windows, and ventilation.
Shortly after 8 am, the warning was lifted.
The fire is reported to be under control, but it is expected to continue for a few more hours. At 7 am, the rescue service was dismantling at the site, from around 15 units to eight.
They will at least have two units remaining for large parts of the day, says Sören Gustavsson, team leader at SOS Alarm.
It is still unclear how the fire started in the industry, which is active in wholesale trade with fuel. The premises contain, among other things, coal, pallets, and caravans.
The police are investigating the fire as suspected arson, but have not yet been able to initiate a technical investigation. No one was injured in the fire.
