IMF approves $8.1 billion loan to Ukraine

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has formally approved a loan to Ukraine totaling $8.1 billion, equivalent to about SEK 73 billion. Of this, Ukraine will have immediate access to $1.5 billion.

The goal is to "continue to consolidate economic and financial stability" in Ukraine and to push for reforms that contribute to the country's post-war reconstruction, the IMF said in a statement.
