The decision to make the disbursement was taken by the IMF's executive board after staff concluded in June that the Ukrainian government had met the conditions for the release of the support loans.
Within the framework of the four-year support programme - the second since Russia's full-scale war against the country began in 2022 - Ukraine has received a total of $2.2 billion in payments from the IMF.
