A photo from the Epstein investigation featuring US President Donald Trump – which was previously removed – has now been republished.

The Department of Justice states that it has been published without any changes, as it has now been determined that "there is no evidence that any of Epstein's victims are depicted."

The US government was heavily criticized when several documents from the investigation, including the photo with Trump, were removed. However, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche defended the Justice Department's publications, saying that "we do not redact information around President Trump," in an interview with NBC's television program Meet the Press.

When asked if material was edited because it was politically sensitive – which would be illegal – Blanche answered “of course not.”

The Justice Department's release of the Epstein investigation has also been criticized for the fact that many documents are heavily redacted and that not everything has been made public yet.
