Henson receives the scholarship, among other things, for his "versatility and his ability to give life to everything from cold cows and newly neutered pigeons to determined children and anxious fathers."

Henson, who was raised in Zimbabwe and England and moved to Sweden as an adult, is grateful and says the award is an encouragement "to my inner child to dare to be heard."

"For me, drawing became a way to tell how I saw the world and show others what I was thinking," he says in a press release.

Henson is currently working on, among other things, "Where does Sara live?" (written by Emma Henson) and "Absolutely not, says Rosetta" (written by Klara Persson and published in July).

The scholarship will be awarded on June 5, on Lennart Hellsing's birthday.
