Klæbo caught a cold in connection with the premiere weekend in Ruka and the 28-year-old star is not ready to compete in the first race at home, announces the Norwegian Ski Association.
"We will make ongoing assessments ahead of the weekend with regard to Saturday's and Sunday's races", says national team doctor Ove Feragen.
Klæbo won the sprint in Ruka on Saturday, but stood over the 2-mile race the following day due to mild cold symptoms.
There is also a cold in the Swedish camp. That Jens Burman would miss Friday's race was already clear, but now the national team announces that he will also have to stand over Sunday's skiathlon. Johan Häggström replaces him.
Edvin Anger stands over Friday's race to get an extra rest day ahead of Saturday's sprint. Alvar Myhlback replaces him in the mile race.
