The latter band was supposed to play in Slottsskogen in Gothenburg last year, but had to cancel after the frontman Josh Homme underwent an acute operation and wanted to focus on his health. Now he is back, though.

77-year-old Iggy Pop – or James Newell Osterberg, as he is actually named – released an album last time in 2023, "Every loser". The Polar Prize-winning artist was born in Michigan in 1947 and began his music career in the band The Stooges in the 1960s.

Way Out West has previously revealed that Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, Khruangbin, Fontaines DC and Wet Leg will be playing at the festival on August 7-9.
