Last week, IF Metall called off the strike. The union says it has paid SEK 65 million in conflict compensation to the striking mechanics since it began in October 2023.
In addition, there are costs for picket lines, administration, advertising and lawsuits, among other things.
Tesla's costs for buying out the strikers have been estimated by Sveriges Radio's Ekot at 67 million kronor. Tesla has not commented on the information.
In addition, Tesla has paid for the legal proceedings and foreign personnel flown in to replace the strikers. Furthermore, transportation and mail delivery have been rearranged to bypass blockades.
