He became talked about already during the auditions for "Idol". To get attention already before the live broadcasts, he had not counted on – and the situation is unusual for the 18-year-old:
I do not have the world's best self-confidence and I have never experienced being talked about in this way. But I have received incredibly much love, so it's just to thank those who think I've done well, he says.
Own the situation
His parents are the artists Martin Stenmarck and Hanna Hedlund, and Love Stenmarck Hedlund has received a lot of comments that he should have moved on because of his famous parents.
He has chosen to take it up himself on social media.
I have to take it on. I have the surname I have and my parents do what they do. People have prejudices that are difficult to change. But I will try, and really do my best, he says.
22-year-old Nora Lundmark has also moved on in the "Idol" competition. She excelled already at the audition when she floored the jury with a surprising version of Nicki Minaj's song "Anaconda".
Now she wants to show that she can do more in her artistry than just joking:
"Anaconda" has always been my party piece, I sang it in the shower when I was ten years old when everyone else sang Beyoncé's "Halo". But I also have a sober side that I look forward to showing, she says.
The clip from Nora Lundmark's audition has become a topic of conversation on social media, even outside Sweden's borders.
It's absolutely fantastic. The clip is huge in Brazil, Australia and Belgium, it's so cool!, she says.
Wants to have fun
Nora Lundmark applied to "Idol" "mostly as a fun thing" – but slowly built up a feeling of really wanting to be there until the end.
It's not always that you fit into a certain mold, but here you can be exactly who you want. Suddenly I felt that I really want to be my own artist, she says.
Love Stenmarck Hedlund tries not to think too much about what would happen if he wins "Idol", but has a clear strategy for the Saturday finals:
I'm "along for the ride", and want to have fun on the way.
The first Saturday final in "Idol" will be broadcast on TV4 on October 18.
