Several people are reported to have been killed in an Israeli attack on a UNRWA school in Shati, a day after the Israeli attack on a UN school in Nuseirat.
According to Israel's military (IDF), Hamas members were killed in an airstrike.
According to the Hamas leadership in Gaza's media center, three people were killed and seven were injured in Friday's attack on a school belonging to the UN's aid organization for Palestinian refugees in Shati near Gaza City.
The school is reported to have been used as a shelter for Palestinians who were forced to flee their homes due to the war.
From the Israeli military, it is said that the Hamas members who were killed in the attack planned attacks on Israeli forces in Gaza, reports The Times of Israel.
Reports of attacks also come from a range of other locations in the Gaza Strip on Friday. Among other things, several people are said to have been injured in an attack on Bureij near Nuseirat. According to Israel's military, "dozens of terrorists" have been killed in ongoing operations in eastern Bureij and eastern Dayr al-Balah in central Gaza.
Killed and injured Palestinians are also reported from Maghazi and Gaza City.
According to AFP's correspondent on the ground, Israeli warships have shelled houses in a port area west of Gaza City. Al Jazeera's correspondent reports that a number of Palestinian fishermen were injured.
Israel's offensive against Rafah in the southern part of the strip continues. Fighter jets are said to have attacked the Sultan district. Israeli tanks are advancing according to Reuters, further west in the city.
In Thursday's Israeli attack on a UNRWA school in Nuseirat, at least 30 people are reported to have been killed, according to authorities, many of them women and children.
The attack has been condemned by, among others, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, and the EU and the US have called for transparent and independent investigations.
According to Israel, 17 terrorists belonging to the Islamic Jihad and Hamas were killed, whose large-scale attack on Israel on October 7 last year marked the start of the war in Gaza.
