Ida-Lova Lind participated in Melodifestivalen two years ago, but it is this year that she really reached the listeners. After her performance at "Allsång på Skansen" this summer, the song "Svagare än jag" climbed to first place on Svensktoppen.
"I've been writing music my whole life, I've never dared to show it to anyone. And then I dared to do it last year. Thank you, those of you who believed in me then," says Ida-Lova in a press release.
She was joined on the podium at the Music Publishers' Gala by this year's composer Elvira Anderfjärd, who wrote songs for the debut album of the American rising star Addison Rae, and this year's lyricists Lisa Nilsson and Andreas Mattsson, who received an award for the album "Uteblivna vi".
This year's international success is the team behind Ghost's latest album "Skeletá": frontman Tobias Forge and producers Salem Al-Fakir, Vincent Pontare and Max Grahn. The Linköping band was nominated for an American Grammy on Friday in the category of best metal performance.
The award for song of the year goes to the songwriting team behind Charli XCX's single "Apple." Jonnali "Noonie Bao" Parmenius and Linus Wiklund.
This year's art music awards are awarded to Karin Rehnqvist (small ensemble) and Jesper Nordin (large ensemble).
