Norway's match against Germany in the Ice Hockey World Championship in Herning, Denmark, was interrupted after a large hole emerged in the ice in the first period.
Forward Markus Vikingstad went through the ice by the boards with 3.27 left of the period and the score 2–0 to Germany.
It was surprisingly much ice that was up. It's strange that it happens, says Färjestad's Norwegian national team defenseman Stian Solberg to Viaplay.
The hole was so large that the match could not be resumed until the hole was repaired. It took around 20 minutes, according to Aftonbladet and Expressen.
