Coop and ICA are recalling frozen strawberries because they have been found to contain high levels of pesticides.

For Ica, the recall applies to Ica Basic frozen strawberries 1 kilo. Only packages with a best before date of 13-04-27 and batch number V25 286 are affected.

"We take the incident seriously and are now investigating together with the supplier how this could have happened and how we ensure that it does not happen again," says Niklas Larsson, quality manager at ICA Sweden, in a press release.

Customers can return the strawberries to the store, file a complaint via Ica online or contact Ica's customer service.

The recall for Coop concerns Xtra frozen strawberries 500 grams best before 2027-04-07 and 2027-04-14 as well as Coop frozen strawberries 300 grams best before 2027-04-13.

Those who have purchased Coop's strawberries are asked to bring the product or receipt to the store to get their money back.
