Ica has previously recalled packages of 400 grams of cooked, large Vannamei prawns without shells, with a best-before date of July 17, 2026.
Now the recall is being extended to also include products with a best-before date of June 17, 2026.
The recall is being carried out due to the detection of vibrio bacteria in a random sample at the border control.
"The products are being recalled as there is a risk that the product contains vibrio bacteria and thus may pose a health risk. When heated to 70 degrees, vibrio bacteria die," Ica writes in a press release.
