The initiative was taken last spring and now the products themselves are starting to come into place.
We do it partly because we believe in the products but also to show solidarity with Ukraine, says Jenny Eriksson, purchasing manager at ICA Sweden, at a press conference.
In the past two weeks, 3,000 Ukrainian goods have been sold at Ica.
Coop plans to sell the products in 200 stores. These include flavored popcorn, organic honey, freeze-dried berries, dried fruit and cooking oils.
According to food companies, the products have been able to enter stores in record time.
"It has been twice as fast as usual to get the products in," says Jenny Eriksson.
