Diabaté, who shared the league scoring title with 18 goals in last year's Swedish Football Championship, will initially join Alavés on loan until the summer. The La Liga club then has an option to buy the 26-year-old Ivorian.
Diabaté has been the subject of rumours over the winter. Alavés only entered the race for his signature late on Monday afternoon, and at 10:15 p.m., shortly before the transfer window closed, the deal was completed, writes GP.
