”A team of inspectors from IAEA left Iran safely today to return to IAEA's headquarters in Vienna, after having stayed in Tehran during the entire recent military conflict”, IAEA writes on X.

It is about the organization's last experts on site, according to a Western diplomatic source, writes Bloomberg.

Last year, IAEA carried out almost 500 inspections in the country.

IAEA chief Rafael Grossi emphasizes the importance of dialogue for IAEA to be able to resume its activities in the country as soon as possible. Western countries are also expected to urge Iran to allow continued inspection visits.

Iran has accused IAEA of having been involved in Israel's attack on the country's nuclear facilities. Grossi has denied the allegations.
