”Based on continued analysis of high-resolution satellite images after Friday's attacks, the IAEA has identified elements that directly indicate impact on the underground enrichment facilities in Natanz”, writes the UN's atomic energy organization IAEA on X.

The message comes after reports that the Iranian air defense has been activated in Natanz also during the night against Tuesday.

The large complex just outside Natanz in central Iran is the most important facility for the country's uranium enrichment. The enrichment takes place at two sites, one of them underground. Natanz has on several previous occasions been subjected to Israeli sabotage.
