Extra time was required, but then Lukáš Rousek scored 2–1 and secured HV71's place in the top tier of Swedish hockey in the fourth game of the qualifying series against Leksand.
HV coach Anton Blomqvist agrees with the supporters that it should not be celebrated.
"There are two losers here. But when you put yourself in this situation like we have, it's hard to do it in a better way than we have done now," he tells TV4.
"You constantly feel bad. You have to come to terms with that feeling. There is only pressure. There are only bad things that can happen. But we have ignored reality," Blomqvist says.
Leksand were relegated from the SHL.
