HV71 has lost five of its seven matches after the national team break in early February.
With five rounds left, HV71 lost further ground and is now a full seven points behind Linköping above the relegation line.
I think we give away easy things. It's not on level. Everyone tries to do their best, but sometimes it doesn't bounce right, says HV coach Anton Blomqvist to TV4 Play.
This since both the second-to-last Modo – 3–0 against Malmö – and Linköping – 2–1 after overtime against Färjestad – won on the road.
HV71 has not won in Luleå since September 2017, but took the lead in the match (Jamiro Reber) and equalized to 2–2 (Jonathan Ang) at the beginning of the third.
But neither the lead nor the equalizer held for long.
Quick reply
Just 52 seconds after 2–2, Shinnimin scored his second goal of the evening, and when Mathias Bromé set 4–2, it was curtains for the Jönköping team.
Shinnimin got into a verbal altercation with parts of the Luleå crowd after Tuesday's loss in the rivalry match against Skellefteå.
On Wednesday, the Canadian apologized in a statement on the club's website.
Now he took revenge.
"Love playing in front of them"
He received plenty of love from the Luleå crowd during the match with banners like "Shinnimin's friends" and the number 34 (his jersey number) with a heart next to it.
It feels good to know they still support me. There have been a lot of emotions, but we're adults and can take responsibility for what we do.
What happened was unfortunate, but we've moved on. We have the most passionate fans in the league and I love playing in front of them, says Shinnimin to TV4 Play.
