Husqvarna reports a loss before tax of 41 million kronor for the third quarter of the year. This can be compared to the loss of 154 million during the corresponding quarter last year.
The result was worse than expected. Adjusted for non-comparable items, it resulted in an operating profit of 140 million. This can be compared to an average forecast among analysts of 208 million, according to Bloomberg.
Net sales during the quarter fell 5 percent to 9.2 billion kronor.
The closure of the Brastad factory is taking place through a gradual phase-out, with planned divestment during the first half of 2027.
"All manufacturing that takes place in the factory will be outsourced to third parties, which contributes to improved flexibility and lower capital tie-up", writes Husqvarna.
The factory in Brastad has, according to Husqvarna, 84 employees and manufactures components for the company's petrol-driven motors for handheld products.
