The man fired several shots at a moose cow that was a couple of hundred meters from a residential building. A man in his 60s was standing at one of the windows of the house and was hit in the stomach by one of the shots. The man was seriously injured and has sustained permanent injuries.
The hunter is sentenced to a suspended sentence and a daily fine for aggravated bodily harm, and must pay damages to the man of almost half a million kronor.
He denies any wrongdoing and claims that the required safety measures have been taken.
