Among them are three children, according to information from health authorities in Hamas-controlled Gaza.
The new deaths mean that a total of at least 332 Palestinians have died from hunger-related causes since the start of the war in 2023. More than 120 of them were children.
Last week, the UN-backed IPC, which monitors food availability in the world, found that fully developed famine prevails in Gaza City and its surroundings. The assessment comes after months of Israeli blockade of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. The small emergency aid that is now coming in is far from sufficient, according to, among others, the UN's food agency WFP.
Israel has rejected the IPC's report and demanded that it be withdrawn.
