Three years ago, Humana had its licence to provide personal assistance, home care and services with companions and respite care workers revoked.

The Swedish Health and Social Care Inspectorate (Ivo), which revoked the permit, cited shortcomings in the assistance company's operations.

After Humana appealed the decision to the Administrative Court, which found it unclear whether Humana was unsuitable for the business, Ivo's decision was overturned.

Humana then sued the state for a quarter of a billion kronor, but the district court rejected the damages claim.

Humana appealed the district court's decision and has now been granted leave to appeal to the Court of Appeal, the company announced in a press release.
