The investigation into human exploitation at several companies in an industrial area in Lysekil is being closed down, reports P4 Väst.

Suspicions arose after an inspection in late September when 36 people working in the industrial area turned out to lack work permits.

Initially, we received information suggesting that, it was about them having lower wages. But it turned out that we could not substantiate it so that part is closed, says Mattias Eklöf, section manager at the border police in region West, to P4.

The investigation regarding offenses against the Aliens Act is still ongoing against a number of companies, both Swedish and foreign.
