The actor Hugh Bonneville used the attention at the premiere of the last "Downton Abbey" film to urge the outside world to intervene in Gaza.

When a reporter from the British media company ITV asked Hugh Bonneville about the film, ”Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale” the actor veteran turned directly to the camera.

Before I talk about the fluffy and charming in our wonderful film, what is happening in Gaza is indefensible and the world must do more to stop it, he said, according to Deadline.

”Downton Abbey” is a lovely film that we will celebrate 15 years of tonight, he continued directly afterwards.

In the costume drama, which the red carpet was rolled out for in London's Leicester Square on Wednesday, Bonneville returns to his role as the Earl of Grantham for the last time.

The glamorous premiere takes place at the same time as Israel is proceeding with its highly controversial plans to enter and take total control of the million-city Gaza City.
