To vote, you must be able to identify yourself, for example with an ID document, but you do not need to bring your voting card.
At the polling station, the ballot papers are in a screened-off area. Take a ballot paper for each election you are going to vote in. Yellow for the parliamentary election, blue for the regional election and white for the municipal election. If you want to vote for a person, take a name ballot paper. It is also possible to write the party's name on a blank ballot paper and the name of a candidate if you want to vote for a person.
You will usually receive ballot envelopes from an election worker, but they may also be left at the entrance to the venue. Then go alone behind an empty voting screen, prepare your votes and place the ballots in the envelopes. Remember to only put one ballot in each envelope.
Leave your sealed ballot envelopes with the election worker and show your ID. The worker will then place the envelopes in the ballot boxes and mark the elections you have voted in on the voter list.
Anyone who is not at home on election day and cannot vote at their polling station can also vote early at any early voting location throughout the country. At least one such location in each municipality is open.
